Jane DeSimone Dittmar

Jane Dittmar is a principal in Positive Solutions Group and a business consultant specializing in strategic planning. Her background is business; she has owned and worked with many businesses in the Commonwealth, particularly when she served as President of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Dittmar’s practice areas include all issues involving business and consumer disputes, partnership reorganization;  real estate, construction, landlord-tenant, and resolving organizational  conflicts through mediation and team building for groups such as boards of directors, public sector bodies, neighborhood associations and church groups. In addition to her private practice, Dittmar mediates court-referred cases and is certified through the Supreme Court of Virginia to practice as a mediator in General District and Circuit Courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Dittmar served in elected office serving as a Supervisor and also  chairing the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.  A key focus during Dittmar’s tenure on the Board was deploying reliable, affordable Internet and cell service to the county’s rural areas. She served from 2015-2017 Governor’s Broadband Advisory Council.  Currently she serves as Chief of Staff for Del. David Toscano (VA-57).

She is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she earned her degree in Economics. Since then, she has attended the UVA Darden School’s Executive Program and Virginia Tech’s Center for Public Administration and Policy.

Jane Dittmar and her husband, Frank Squillace, reside in Albemarle County, Virginia. They have raised six children.
